ELLIS GREGORY NOTT
[/b]hey!
my name is Messer. i love this site - i found it I solemnly swear. i also love roleplaying. in fact, i've been roleplaying for two years!
the character i am going to roleplay is Ellis Gregory Nott, but you can call him Ellis. he's sixteen years old and in his sixth year. he is true to the house of Slytherin. this character has dark brown hair and dark blue eyes.
Ellis has a very complicated personality. here, i'll explain it to you: Ellis maybe seem like a very quiet and shy person. He can be from time to time but he isn't exactly bashful. He usually spends his quality time getting his homework but when that is done he associates with whoever he feels comfortable with. He really isn't very loud but doesn't mind commotion or lively people. Ellis isn't so socially inept, he'll approach someone but sometimes says the wrong things. Growing up with sarcasm and wit, he picked it up but tries not to be so harsh; though he doesn't know his limits so much. He's a nice guy once you get to know him but he doesn't trust so easily, it may seem like it but it takes time for him to built up trust. He can be the jealous sort, his parents gave him what he wanted when he was younger but not exactly the best. Ellis usually tries to get what he wants, he has ways to play a certain part in front of certain people but never lets them on his plans, so he's very sly and cunning. Sometimes he can be arrogant though, if he's around close friends or with a girl he tries to impress. There is a sensitive and understanding side to him though not many people see it because his father had raised him to be subtle about those things. And although Ellis hides his sensitive feelings, there's another side to him. One that tries to come out of him as if it was a new person. No, he's not a schizophrenic. He just has a bit of his grandfather in him; who happened to be a Death Eater while he was alive. Ellis often feels a little malevolence looming inside him and can't explain it or act on it though he has the urge to do it. The only way he lets it escape is by being sarcastic and putting others down, if they aren't to his intellectual level that is.
Ellis has also been through a lot in his life. i'll tell you a little about it: Ellis is son to Theodore and Éloise Nott. He shares the same middle name as his father and a few personality traits. Ellis was born into a pureblood family with wealth like most of his housemates but unlike most slytherins, he didn't grow up with a lot of prejudice drilled into his head. His father did not look down at muggle borns or half bloods, but with mixed breeds he did. So there was a bit of prejudice going on, sometimes regarding wealth again. Ellis grew up without much chaos, he hardly heard his parents argue or anything negative. But despite having a fine childhood, he wasn't very happy. He wasn't sure if he had inherited a blue cloud above him but never really talked about it. Never realizing that it was odd that he'd feel sad for no reason from time to time. Ellis grew up at the Nott estate, in which held a small library from there he learned about the wizarding world and everything from spells to important figures in the wizarding community. He learned all those things not really because he was interested but mostly because his father made him. He wanted his son to be just as smart as he was. Though Ellis didn't care much and since he couldn't use magic while at home, he really wasn't a genius with spells, he knew a good amount of them but he wasn't master of any of them, unless they were easy; like the levitation spell and things like that. Ellis lived through most of his life the same way, making a few friends, sometimes keeping to himself, learning all he could from school and then basking in leisure time at home. That was until the end of his fifth year, it was then that his father started pressuring a bit about focusing and being far more serious; getting his head straight and thinking about a career. Ellis didn't want to so much but he said nothing. He was more curious to what was happening around him instead of books. His parents marriage didn't seem so great lately, they seemed to be avoiding each other or staying silent whenever they were in the same room. But never argued in front of him so he couldn't really ask if there was something the matter. He wanted to find out on his own anyway; always having a curious bug on his back. Well he put those thoughts aside once he started his sixth year and wondered if it would be life changing, especially when there were rumours circling about a new group of dark wizards rising. Maybe that had something to do with his parents strange behaviour.
still don't think i deserve to be accepted? well, i've got an rp sample that'll rock your sox off!!! With black leather moc shoes walked Theodore quietly into the library, he held his books tightly in his arms close to his chest. His hair had slipped right into his face as usual even after the minimal efforts of his hand combing it behind his ears. The day had been slightly warmer than it had been the past few days; perspiration was accounted for his slightly damped hair. Red shadowy slashes were marked on his chin after he had scratched his face — the heat seemed to irritate his skin easily that afternoon. His big blue eyes sunk in as Theodore searched for an empty desk to leave his bookbag.
The library seemed a little bit crowded than usual. Theodore thought to himself: "Are they planning to ambush the librarian now?...The souls are usually scarce here.Who cares, lets find an empty roll top before we're seen"
Theodore began to walk a little faster, his steps were no longer as silent as before. The steady bottom of his shoes rubbed with the carpet making a short scratching sound; like a rabbit digging a hole in the dirt. Theodore's eyes shrunk in concentration when they located an empty desk and chair. Theodore thought: "Here we are....no sods near at all. Can hardly hear any chatter here.."
After sitting himself down, Theodore took out two textbooks; charms and potions. Following the books was a notebook, a quill and a half empty ink bottle. The quill was as special as any ruddy thing found in a shop but it worked; learning from his father not to be so lavish with materialistic items, Theodore didn't ever bother thinking about quill designs.
Theodore took his brown feathered quill and bit the tip of it as he looked through his maroon colored notebook; in search for written homework assignments. A few seconds after studying his writing and having found no signs of unfinished homework, Theodore sighed for no reason but kept biting his quill. He raised his head and looked around the shelves; trying to think of what to read in order to let time pass. His stomach grumbled gently but he ignored it; Theodore had only a biscuit and scrambled eggs for breakfast, having no real hunger at the time. Lunch was suppose to be soon but Theodore wasn't worried about it for now, unless his stomach kept grumbling. Neglecting it, he continued to look over the sections until he stood up and checked the nearest bookshelf to his left; still only two feet away from his desk.
well, that's all about Ellis Nott. oh, and to make my application complete, the secret password is hogwartsrules!.. thank you, and i hope i get accepted!
