the gryffindor states: "Scorpius and I got off to a bad start - mainly because of my brothers; ever since we first saw him at King's Cross before my first year, they were mean to him and always pulling pranks on him. This continued throughout the years, and I was usually a part of it, too, until my third year, when I started to question why we were so mean to him. I didn't set much store by old family rivalries, and had really only gone along with it without knowing the reason why. My brothers claimed that it was just because he was a prat and his dad had caused ours trouble at school, but I didn't think this was much of a good reason. So, one day during a break when we were outside, I went up to him and said, 'hello.' He didn't seem very kind at first, but he was probably just shocked that I was talking to him instead of playing a prank on him with my brothers.

Afterward, we became something close to best friends, and maybe a bit more, but it was all in secret - what would people say if they knew, a Slytherin and a Gryffindor, no less a Malfoy and a Potter? It wouldn't be right, and my brothers definitely would not be happy if they found out. So we've been meeting in secret for the past year or so, and I've found that he's actually quite nice. A bit protective, but kind and trustworthy, and, although it's a bit troublesome to keep our relationship secret, I fear that we won't be allowed to be together if people knew."
