We Are Lithium
New York - the City with many names. It was first founded in the year of 1624 but wasn't properly established until 1625 by the Dutch who used it as a commercial trading post. In 1970 New York was one of the largest Cities in the United States of America. Today New York is comprised of five boroughs - The Bronx; Brooklyn; Manhattan; Queens and Staten Island. In 2007 there was an estimated figure of around 8,274,527 people living within a 322 square miles (830 km²) radius of New York (and around the boroughs).
Deep in the very heart of Manhattan lies a band, they started as a simple duo on youtube but have turned into something more, something bigger and something much, much more entertaining. Seven people from across the world have joined together in a small unity to deliver us with a masterpiece of poetic music. It's kickass, it's awesome, it's new, it's out of this world and it's here for you enjoyment. Lithium never fails to deliver. Welcome to the new world.
How did Lithium start?

God thought the world needed kickass music so he created us! But in all seriousness it started with KaAL. Me and a member of my kin started making Youtube videos if us trying to play songs while drunk and stoned. We epic-failed but people loved it and kept demanding more and more videos. So K and I started making more and writing more songs but just when we were offered a record deal and shit K died. Because I know he would have wanted me to continue doing what I loved I look around for the most awesome, insane, fantastic, godly musicians I could find. I didn't find what I wanted but I got pretty close.[/blockquote]
What is Lithium’s style all about?

Well, it's kickass and awesome. That's for starters, but if you really must know we've put our hearts and souls into creating this music for our fan base. If you hadn't noticed already our style and genre of music varies depending on what song we play; for instance our song: 'this is God speaking' is pretty intense; the lyrics were written carefully and the music equally as careful - the genre is a mixture of rock and pop with occasional simple guitar solos. Whereas our other song: 'technologic' is a mixture of electronic and alternative. We try to create a lot of diversity in our songs because our fan base is wide and everyone likes something a little different to another person. There's a lot of talent in this band and each of us know how to play something different and the same things - if there's something one or more of us can't play and the others known how to play, then we sit down and have lessons. Diversity is a very important, key component of our band - we aim to please the public, it gives us all a sense of accomplishment.[/blockquote]
