Here is where you can claim positions for Quidditch. Here's how it works. Positions are NOT given out on a first-come-first-serve basis. The positions will be awarded to the characters that have submitted the best application that best convinces us, the admins, that they deserve the post. We will wait until enough people have posted an application and then decide who gets what positions. Oh, and just because you don't get the position you want, it doesn't mean that we didn't give you any position at all. So... you might want to work hard on the app. Anyways, here's the code: Character Name House Year Position Desired Why? (just say why your character deserves the position you want. doesn't have to be a specific length, just do your best :) ) Just a few other reminders: 1. You may not be on the teams unless you are a second year or older. 2. You may not be a captain of the team unless you are a sixth year or higher. GRYFFINDORcaptain: OPEN seeker: OPEN chasers: lucy weasley, OPEN, OPEN beaters: OPEN, OPEN keeper: OPEN RAVENCLAWcaptain: OPEN seeker: OPEN chasers: dominique weasley, OPEN, OPEN beaters: OPEN, OPEN keeper: OPEN HUFFLEPUFFcaptain: OPEN seeker: OPEN chasers: OPEN, OPEN, OPEN beaters: OPEN, OPEN keeper: OPEN SLYTHERINcaptain: OPEN seeker: OPEN chasers: OPEN, OPEN, OPEN beaters: OPEN, OPEN keeper: OPEN

Character Name Jason Evans House Slytherin Year Sixth Position Desired Captain or Seeker Why? Jason would be a good Captain for the Slytherin Quidditch team because he is a good leader who always plans out his next move, he always takes things head on and is not afraid to lead his team into a match that he is unsure of whether or not they will win. He always roots his team on during practice and will always try to find the opposing teams weakness to try and breech it and make the match easier for his team. Like a normal Slytherin Jason dislikes losing and will do anything within his power to prevent that from happening any way possible. Jason grew up learning about and watching Quidditch with his father who taught him all the rules, the positions, each positions job, ways in which to find a weakness in a team and most of the tactic's of the game.
Jason would be a good Seeker for the Slytherin Quidditch team because he is quite headstrong and strives for victory each match. He also is quite strong although he looks pale and fragile, which makes him look vulnerable but he is quite the opposite. Jason has excellent eyesight which makes finding the Snitch alot easier in some matches. Jason's tactics lie in planning out his next move carfully and plotting out ways to get the Snitch quickly and easily he can work well under rushed circumstances without loosing his head, he stays focused and doesn't loose sight of the objective.

Character Name Rose Weasley House Gryffindor Year 4th Position Desired Seeker Why? Rose would be a good seeker mainly because she's good at finding things. Especially when her Uncle would hide things from her when she was little. She got better at finding things and her parents and Uncle Harry thought that she would make a seeker someday. But they also saw that she could throw things pretty far so they hoped someday she could be either a seeker or a Chaser. Why Chaser you may ask next mainly because she got a really good hand at catching things and throwing far distance.

Character Name Scorpius Malfoy House Slytherin Year Fifth Position Desired Beater Why? It's a position where at school in front of all the professors you can break someone's nose to a round of cheers. Also the Malfoy family isn't exactly known for a large build meaning that Scorpius is quick on a broom with very good dodging abilities.

Post by Zac Longbottom on Mar 18, 2009 10:33:47 GMT -5
Character Name Zac Longbottom House Gryffindor Year Sixth Position Desired Keeper, possibly Captain Why? It became obvious from first year that Zac Longbottom didn't have the drive or really the passion to excel in the majority of his subjects. What did catch his attention however was sports and the social scene. Getting top marks in a test wouldn't cause a stadium to chant your name and the Gryffindor's weren't throwing parties for students who became prefects. The Quidditch team, in Zac's eyes, were the ones who ran their house. So as soon as he returned for his second year he put his name down on the list after spending a summer getting relatives to throw things at him so he could dive about catching them. Unfortunately Zac didn't make it as keeper that year, been beaten to the spot by the existing seventh year. He didn't let that stop his determination and in his third year made the team where he's kept his place ever since.

Character Name Thalia Drew House Slytherin Year 5th Position Desired Chaser Why? Thalia has been playing Quidditch with her brother since she was only five years old. Their parents, rich Ministry Of Magic employees own a Quidditch field in the back of their land. Whenever they would play she would play the Keeper, while Christopher, her brother practiced trying to score the Quaffle through the goal posts. When she got older and began going to Hogwarts with her older brother, he began allowing her to join in Quidditch games with his friends when he had them over. With so much extra practice on the field over the few years. Thalia would sometimes challenge her brother for one on one games, which with ease she would always win. In games that she played with her brother and his friends she would always play a Chaser for one of the teams. So with growing practice she got hooked to the Chaser position. Thalia has amazing hand eye coordination and a both good throwing arms. Being so small and skinny for her age, while playing she is nibble and quick. So she can doge oncoming opponents and fly through the air with speed. Sometimes being large and muscular isn't always the best. Thalia's not that much of a leader, so put her under someone's command and she'll be as obedient as a dog. Listening to her master's every order.
